These cards allow players to simulate all the thrills, spills, drama and glory of pro wrestling. So cut your promo backstage, wait for your music queue and climb into the ring! Powerplex is a simple card system that simulates not only wrestling, but also all the action and unpredictability that comes with it. Strategize your hand to play a match unique to your style, throw down insane combinations, but don’t forget that you’re a showman. You can’t win the match without getting over with the audience!

This is a professional wrestling game, not just a fighting game. The deck is built of move, style, counter and pandemonium cards. There are dozens and dozens of moves, which can be modified by the style cards. So you can take an ordinary powerbomb and upgrade it into a “brutal Japanese powerbomb off-the-top-rope”. Counters block or even reverse specific move types. Pandemonium cards introduce all of the crazy swerves and drama that makes Powerplex a unique spectacle- from cheating managers to run-ins from backstage. When pandemonium runs wild a match can turn around in an instant. Pins and submissions are decided by die rolls which factor both how hot the crowd is, and how thoroughly you've stomped your opponent.

Powerplex is designed to capture the feel of a real match, from jaw-dropping high spots to dramatic near falls. The action is fast paced, and the set up time is minimal. The game is simple enough that you can teach a friend to play in a matter of minutes, yet complex enough that matches are unique and memorable.

You get an 80 card deck with very few duplicate cards, covering the fundamentals of the sport. All moves and Pandemonium cards have full-color illustrations. Two hard-backed character cards are included to track your vital statistics. Dice and counters are also included. The cards are contained in a full color tuck-box.

The game can be expanded with the Archetypes Expansion, which allows you to choose a style for your wrestler, and presents 36 powerful new cards.
