Pretenders to the Crown

The ruler of your kingdom has passed away. Unfortunately, they didn't leave an heir to take their place. All of you have a claim to the throne and must use the influence of the other citizens to obtain rule of the kingdom. You are the Pretenders to the Crown.

Pretenders to the Crown is the perfect game for lots of people with little time! Players don't draw cards during the game, making every decision meaningful. And with more than half the cards playable between turns, there's very little down time. In this fast-paced party game, anyone can claim the crown!

Pretenders to the Crown comes with enough components for up to 20 (TWENTY!) players. It consists of 1 Crown Card,

1 Turn Order Card,

20 Double-sided Pass Tokens,

& 100 Action Cards

The Crown Card starts in the middle. The Turn Order Card starts in front of whomever goes first. Give 1 Pass Token and 5 Action Cards to each player.

There are four kinds of cards: play on your turn, play after another player plays a card, play before another player takes their turn, and discard another card to play this card. Take turns playing cards. When half of the players run out of cards, the game ends. Whoever has The Crown Card in front of them wins!
