Gems of MonRa follows the story of Remorris, the wizard from MonRa, a castle overlooking, at the highest peak of the realm. Remorris crafted the 3 Gems of MonRa to bring balance to the realm; The Gem of Intuition, to provide its possessor with infinite knowledge and understanding. The Gem of Immortality, to give its possessor the gift of eternal life. The Gem of Power, to provide its possessor with ultimate, strength and prosperity. Upon the realization of their true power, Remorris, in fear they may fall into the wrong hands should someone penetrate the walls of MonRa; Decided he must entrust them to 3 separate mages, across different parts of the realm. He chose his 3 most trusted students. Shyler was given the Gem of Intuition, Pagathis the Gem of Immortality, and Morton, the Gem of Power. Remorris asked of them, should anything challenge the safety of the realm, that they join together and release the ultimate power of the gems, to destroy any evil force and restore balance. The evil King Gerben Gump learned of Morton’s involvement with the gems, and kidnapped his son Cable. The King promised to show mercy on Cable, should Morton surrender the Gem of Power him. Torn between the life of his own child, and the promise to Remorris; Morton beckoned for his fellow gem keepers to help him battle the balance of good vs. evil. Hoping for himself that he wouldn’t sway down the dark path in order to save his only child.

GETTING STARTED
To start the game, choose a Location from your deck and place it on the table. You can look at the line of text just below a card’s art to see what type of card it is. These two Locations are each players Territory. All Locations placed on the table afterwards must go in between these two Locations.
To decide who goes first each player splits their deck, reveals a card, and reads the cards Fate Number. The player with the highest number goes first.
Declare whether you are fighting for Good or Evil at the start of the game. This will determine what color you use during your Activation Phase. You must be one or the other, not both. However, each player may both be from the same side (Good vs. Good, Evil vs. Evil). Shuffle your deck, (also known as your Reserve Deck) draw a hand of seven cards (there is no limit to how many cards you may keep in your hand after). You and your opponent each start with 30 life points. Reduce your opponent’s life points to 0 or less and you win the game!
