Quark Soup is based on mixing quarks (cards) to assemble complete sets (representing particles called hadrons - these are largely what the Large Hadron Collider collides!). Collect two such hadrons to win the game.
Build a barrier of quarks to protect yourself, but beware annihilation attacks, photon excitation and quantum entanglement in the world where even reality is uncertain.
No knowledge of particle physics is required!
This is a really fun game which is surprisingly easy to learn and will teach you very quickly some of the basics of particle physics. It involves quick-thinking, careful strategy and a well planned manoeuvres. While this is designed with physics teaching in mind, it works superbly well as a game and is great fun for all ages.
WARNING!
To keep the price of the game as low as possible, and also to allow for updates in order to keep the rules comprehensive and clear, this game comes without printed rules (but with a fully printed box). It still comes with absolutely everything you need to play Quark Soup.
The rules can be downloaded for free from
