If you are interested in filler games, or portable boardgames to bring along on travel trips, then the Rainbow Deck is for you!
This game listing is for the first half of the Rainbow Deck, set A. It has 81 cards. If you are not sure and want to check out what the Rainbow Deck is, you can purchase set A. Later, you have the option to purchase the second half, set B.
The Rainbow Deck 3.0 is a cardgame system that has a total of 162 cards. There are 12 suits with each suit having 13 ranks, and total 6 Joker cards. The suits are represented by colour and digit. The ranks are from 0 to 9, J to K. The cards are also numbered from 0 to 119, and have alphabet letters.
The deck can be adapted to play a variety of games, just like a deck of Poker cards. The difference is that Rainbow deck has 8 more suits and also numbers from 0 to 119, thus it is most suitable for playing abstract games that require numbers, colours or letters. It can also be used by game designers as components in their own prototype games.
See this excel sheet which contains the rules of the games that RD can be used to play (

The deck can be complemented by 6 colours x 27 mini poker chips (7/8 inch/22 mm diameter). This version of the Rainbow Deck does not include the chips, but there is a Rainbow Deck Deluxe that contains additional chips. There is also a Rainbow Deck SuperDeluxe that contains additional mini poker chips, 6 coloured dice and 6 meeples. The card back has a checkerboard pattern which can be used to form boards and together with the chips, they can be used to play abstract games.
The rules of the 3 games that won the 1st Rainbow Deck Game Design contest are available for download as pdf. The games are Duel of Law (1st), Snark (2nd) and Taargus (3rd).
