Read All About It

Fake it till you make it in this hilarious party game! In this game, players take on the role of a journalist for a fact and advice column in the newspaper. Each player takes turns writing a response to a fill-in-the-blank sentence. But some of the writers don't know what the subject is! It's up to the real writers to see who the faker is based on their responses without giving away the subject themselves.

The aim of the game is to be the first to score 6 points. There are 4 different roles in this game.

Everyone decides a player to be the manager for the first round. The manager decides on a topic. Then the manager writes a target word that fits the topic on all of the word cards except for two. One will be blank and one will have a different word on it. The manager then shuffles the cards and gives them secretly to each player. The player with the blank card is the fake writer and the player with the different word on their card is the uneducated writer, except they won't know who they are!

Afterwards, the manager selects some headline cards and lays them out in a list. On a headline card, the grey blank stands for the target word (in this case it stands for "duck") and the black blank stands for a players' response. Some headline cards require two responses.

The writers take turns writing on their response cards and placing them next to a headline. The round ends after everyone has written two responses.

Your response doesn't need to be correct or true but it might seem a bit suspicious if you're wrong!

Afterwards, the manager reveals who the uneducated writer is to everyone. Then the manager counts down and everyone points to who they think the fake writer is. Whoever got the most votes must reveal their role.

If the fake writer is voted for, they have one chance to guess the target word.

If the fake writer is not caught, the fake writer and the manager automatically win.

Any player who won draws 1 card from the point deck. Then a new round begins. Whoever reaches 6 points first is the winner!
