Description

Rebound is the world's first trampoline-based tabletop dexterity game. Featuring a three-dimensional scoring tray, handfuls of twelve-sided dice, and a trampoline made with rubber bands, this game is a feast for all of the senses. Its simple yet engaging scoring system ensures that Rebound isn't merely a toy, but rather a game of skill that rewards strategic play. Kids of all ages will love feeling both the thrill of victory as a perfectly-thrown die settles into the scoring tray, and the agony of defeat as an errant bounce casts their carefully-laid plans into disarray.

Overview

During the game you will take turns trying to bounce dice off of the trampoline and into the scoring tray. You will score points based on where your dice land. After both players have thrown all of their dice, the player with the highest total score wins the game.

Set Up

Setting up Rebound is quick and easy. To do so you will need to:

  1. Sit at a table next to your opponent. You should be both be sitting on the same side of the table; Rebound is played "Last Supper Style"!
  2. Assemble the game board. You will use the game box to create a three-dimensional scoring tray.
  3. Place the trampoline on the table so that it is between you and the game board.
  4. Assign player colors and give each player their dice.

Gameplay

Rebound is a simple game. On your turn you will:

  1. Reposition the trampoline. You can move it wherever you like as long as all four of its feet remain on the table.
  2. Choose one of your dice to throw. You may throw each of your dice once during the game.
  3. Throw your die. It must bounce off of the trampoline but must not touch the tabletop.
  4. Score points based on where your die lands.
  5. Clean up. If your die landed in the scoring tray, leave it there. Otherwise, move it aside to help prevent any confusion about what dice remain in your supply.

Scoring

You will score points based on where each of your dice lands after you throw them.

  • You score zero points if your die did not land in the scoring tray or if touched the tabletop after you threw it.
  • Otherwise, you score points equal to the number displayed on the scoring token in compartment where you die landed times the number of dice in that compartment.

In this example, the first player has thrown four of their black dice and scored a total of 3 + 3 + 1 + 3 = 10 points. The other player has thrown three of their white dice and scored a total of 4 + (2 x 1) + 5 = 11 points.

Notes

  • This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
