Two to four players will race to fill their tin with fish tokens that come in various shapes and point values. The tighter the fish are packed on a token, the more points it’s worth though it may be trickier to find a spot for it.
You can gain fish on your turn by rolling matching dice sets and placing them on the appropriate action card.
Other actions have their own unique dice requirements. You can steal fish from other players, repack your loose fish into tighter groups, place fish tokens into your tin or buy upgrades.
Didn’t get the dice you needed on your first roll? No problem, you can re-roll the dice up to four more times, as long as you place at least one on an action space between each roll. This allows you to determine your fate to a degree, but you’ll have to decide wether to follow the dice’s suggestions, or to push your luck and roll again hoping to get what you want!
Purchasing upgrades can help you use up dice that aren’t used to perform actions for a little profit and are also worth two points each at the end of the game.
But don’t get to distracted, it is after all still a race to fill your tin. When one player completes theirs, all others get one more turn each before scoring commences.
Will you force a quick game but sacrifice on score? Will you create an efficient fish packing engine and steal the game from the others? Grab a tin of Sardines and roll the dice to find out!
