We didn't listen. We never listen. Although in our defense, no one predicted this outcome specifically. Who would have thought the robots would be mad about people abusing electronics? No one, that's who. They were peaceful and fair. They gave humanity a chance to change, and we tried to destroy them. And now, those of us not stupid enough to try and fight the machines must do what we can to survive, living off scraps of food, and fighting amongst ourselves. Our only chance is to band together and rebuild. So who's with me?

In Scarce, players try to build up the most successful squad of recruits. The game plays over 7 days (or rounds), with each day having 5 phases.

1. Scavenge: Find food, water, weapons, and luxury goods.
2. Trade: Work with other squads (players) around you to trade goods.
3. Recruit: Take in additional members for your squad.
4. Feed: Provide all of your squad members with sufficient food and water, or they will leave.
5. Defend: Protect your squad from nightly raids by traveling gangs.

The player who has the most successful squad (worth most points, which are hidden throughout the game) wins and becomes the leader of the coalition for rebuilding the life that once existed.


Note: Black Disc mentioned in rule book is temporarily replaced with a yellow disc since the black discs are out of stock.
