Be the last scientist to have remaining Class D "test Subjects"

What is SCP: Scientific Testing

SCP: Scientific Testing is a wacky, "mess with the other players" card game.

You are a scientist, learning how the SCPs react to "test subjects". Unfortunately, many SCPs have a habit of "removing" these "test subjects". Including ones of other scientists.

If you are the last scientist to have ANY "test subjects" left... you win!

Game Play

Players are given 5 "test subjects" each. Represented by tokens (not included in the card game).

We use Model Train People for more authenticity.

Players are dealt 3 cards.

Starting player is determined by:

  1. Is a doctor or scientist
  2. Has been to a doctor most recently
  3. Has been ill most recently
Draw 1, Play 1

Easy right?

Card types:

SAVE: These are played face down in front of you. Some can be turned over immediately, some have specific requirements.

Euclid: Played on your turn.

Keter: Most Keter cards have a PLAY IMMEDIATELY on them. They are your PLAY 1 when drawn and quite often affect all players!

It is HIGHLY recommended for at least 1 player to read through all the cards BEFORE playing.

The Cards

Box contains 106 cards + 1 Rule Book

Each card is unique. Most cards are based upon actual SCP entries. The base set sold here is entries from 002 to 999. With a few other unique & interesting entries & things thrown in, all from the SCP universe.

card-examples.jpg

These are just 8 examples of what you will find in the game.

As you see, EVERY card has a unique QR code on it. When scanned, it takes you to the actual entry for that card. (Or a wiki page explaining what the card is based upon)

That way, credit for EVERY entry is given to the actual SCP entry creator!

Most images on the cards are from free pic sites & photo edited. Credit for what FEW images are from the actual wiki is given in the rule book.

Extra Notes

Classifications on the cards (Safe, Euclid & Keter) may not match what is on the SCP entry. These have been changed for game purposes. Example: cards say SAVE not SAFE, because you SAVE them in front of you, face down.

Card powers are based upon what the actual entries do & how they can affect the world.

Examples:

017 - Player can out their finger on another player's shadow. The target player can not move that shadow or take a penalty!

073 - Played face down in front of you. When another player target's you (or another player, as long as its only 1 target), flip this card over. Now, the player is affected by their OWN CARD!

009-j - Based upon an SCP joke entry. This card has 2 parts. Hence the READ ALL CARDS BEFORE PLAYING!

Play this card on your turn. Go to the QR code & read aloud the SCP 009-j page. Then, gain 1 Class D.

However, if another player also has a Dr. Wondertainment card in their hand, they can interrupt you and say, "Dr. Wondertainment. Got to collect them all!" and both their card & yours are discarded before you gain the 1 Class D.

SCP 871 - SNACK BREAK! Hope you have something to snack on, or lose a turn!

As you can see, cards can affect the actual game & environment too! Cards can make you change seats, lose cards, lose a Class D if you touch your phone, or make you say funny things!

SCP 586 is one of our favorites & most hated!

Additional Expansions will be added SOON! Special sets also sold soon. These will include x25 Class D "mini people" and more!
