Gameplay---SMALL.png

Each turn is broken down into four steps.

  1. Dice rolling and placement
  2. Seed collection
  3. Seed exchange
  4. Field creation and placement

Step 1. Dice rolling and placement

Each turn starts by rolling 5 dices which can be used in two ways.

The first is collecting dice of the same value on plant cards to grow and collect them

The second is using dice equal to 10 to collect a seed exchange card.

Step 2 - Seed collection

Once all dice have been used, all plants owed by a player produce seeds. The type and number of seeds produced by a plant is given on each card.

Step 3. Seed Exchange

During this step, each seed exchange card owned by a player can be used to change the seeds they have. Seed exchange cards can be used in either direction depending on the seeds a player has and wants.

Step 4. Field creation and placement.

In this final step, seeds are used to collect field cards from the four avaiable. Each field card is one of four types - dry, floodplain, woodland or grass.

These fields are placed within a player's meadow which is a tableau made of 9 cards in a 3x3 grid.

Players are given two meadow cards at the beginning of the game, these are end game objective cards. Each meadow card has a combination of three field types on it. If you match the sequence of field types on a meadow card either vertically, horizontally or diagonally within your meadow, you get an additional 10 points during final scoring.

End-Game-Scoring---SMALL.png

Final scoring is based on points gained from three different card types

  • Plant cards – the number in the square (number of dice required to grow a plant) is the number of points a plant card is worth in final scoring.
  • Field cards – field cards are worth different points which are found in the top right corner of the card.
  • Meadow cards – completed meadow cards are worth 10 additional points.
