SENGO Emotion Cards

NOTE: This resource works best for children 5-11 years old.

SENGO Emotion Cards are a part of other SENGO games, but is being sold separately as a valuable resource for parents and teachers of SEN children to design their own games centred on emotional awareness/ vocabulary.

There are 12 different emotions, repeated into 4 suits. These can then be used to play games such as memory matching or snap. More useful however is to design a game that uses this deck shuffled, in order to randomize points of discussion. For example, each player picks a card from the deck, show each other, and discuss which emotion is the most intense/ least intense, and then give anecdotes on times they've felt that way.

This game could also be used in conjunction with the SENGO Feelings Question Cards if the children struggle to come up with their own questions.

This is meant to be used as a tool along with your own imagination and creativity. After all, no one knows your children like you do, and you can therefore come up with activities that are more tailor-made to their preferences and needs.
