The Serious Games Idea Deck is a collaborative card game designed to help players explore and discuss various aspects of game design. It encourages creativity and critical thinking by guiding players through the process of designing a learning game.
Idea Deck Components: Central Hexagon Card (Anchor Card): This card is placed in the center of the table and has six sides, each labeled with a key game design topic.
There are six sub-decks of cards, each corresponding to one of the topics on the Anchor Card. Each sub-deck card contains a definition, explanation, and example related to its topic, including Objectives, Type of Learning, Interactions, Content, Core Dynamic, and Elements.
For a total of 72 cards, The Serious Games Idea Deck includes the cards listed above, a Rules Deck to help you and your team get started immediately, and additional Topic Cards to guide you through each gameplay.
