Shark, Fish, Seaweed

Survive the ocean in this quick, fast paced trick-taking game inspired by rock, paper, scissors with tricks and surprises that will make you want to keep playing it again and again.

The player left of who dealt starts the first trick. Whoever then wins that trick stars the next one, and so on until all the cards have been played. Whoever gets the closest to either the number on the card or zero is the winner! If there is a tie between closest to zero and closest to the number on the card, the person closest to the number on the card wins. If two players are tied at closest to the number on the card, or zero, the person with more special cards wins.

The Cards 4 Suits (Blobfish, Seahorse, Sea Urchin, and Dolphin) The Great White Shark is a ruthless killer. I will kill anything it sees, but must keep moving to keep water flowing in its gills, or else it will die. The Shark defeats all suits, Fish, and Diver, but is defeated by Seaweed, Harpoon, and Anemone. The Clownfish is a shy creature with a colorful personality, but is easily targeted because of it. The Fish defeats all suits, Seaweed and Anemone, but is defeated by Shark, Diver, and Harpoon. The Seaweed is a plant, and therefore has no say in what happens. It defeats all suits, Shark, and Harpoon (by accident), but is defeated by Fish, Diver, and Anemone. The Diver is an annoying human who doesn’t understand when it isn’t safe to get in the water. The Diver defeats all suits, Seaweed, Fish, and Anemone, but is defeated by Shark and Harpoon. The Harpoon is a sharp pointy object used by fishermen. The Harpoon defeats all suits, Shark, Fish, and Diver, but is defeated by Seaweed and Anemone. The Sea Anemone is a stationary animal that relies on the Clownfish to survive. The Anemone defeats all suits, Shark, Seaweed, and Harpoon, but gets defeated by Fish and Diver. The Sea Turtle is a very shy creature that doesn’t want to make a mess, so he doesn’t. Whoever plays the Sea Turtle is automatically not going to win (unless everyone plays a pass, in which case the first one to play it wins.) When a player leads a trick off with a Sea Turtle, whatever suit is played next is the suit of that round. Pollution is every ecosystem’s worst nightmare. From plastic to factory runoff, pollution is one of the worst things humans are putting into the environment. It destroys homes, kills fish, and drives the ecosystem to collapse. When Pollution is played, no one wins the trick, and it is discarded.
