Pirates, Injury, and Welfare on the High Seas

Requirements

60-90
2-8
12+

Description

A 2-8+ player game of risk taking, planning, using diplomacy...
(more players = a more of a diplomatic game)
(less players = a more of a chance game)

Gold wins the game, but there are many ways to earn gold:
1. by using diplomacy to aid other pirates
2. defending the ships that the Pirates are attacking
3. by sinking ships
4. by injury, earning welfare from the Pirates' Code

The games ends when one of these happens:
1. Someone becomes: 'Pirate King'
2. All the ships are sunk and no-one can defeat 'Port Royal'
3. Everyone becomes to Injured to fight and cannot reach Town to Accommodate for their Injuries
4. Or every one chickens out and 'passes' their turns all in a row...

Historical Note:Pirate Captain Morgan wrote his version of the Pirates' Code. Inside this code, he added a welfare system for those unfortunate pirates who, after sustaining an injury, lived long enough to be hindered by it. This game is based on this welfare system. I hope this game helps us all (myself included) learn to enjoy our own personal injuries even if we aren’t awarded by Captain Morgan’s Pirates' Code…
