Silver Leaf Grove

After years of service as protector of nature and master of elemental forces, the Arch Druid is ready to name a scion. Only one rival stands in your way. You must prove yourself as a skilled and powerful Druid. Shield your plot of the Grove by researching scrolls in the Library and commune with Nature to harness your own elemental power, ultimately to be the first to retain 6 trees planted from the Garden to become the next Arch Druid of Silver Leaf Grove.

Silver Leaf Grove is a 2 player game where you duel each other to be the first to plant 6 trees on your side of the grove.

What makes up the Grove 6x seeds, 16x scrolls, 6x mana from each pool (Water, Wind, Earth, Fire), 1 x die to commune with nature. and 2x rule cards.

Game set up across the center, starting on left, is the ::Garden:: where you can get more seeds, on the right the ::Library:: where you collect scrolls to cast spells and in between them the ::Mana Pools:: that you use to commune with nature and collect the mana to use seeds or scrolls. Finally each player is dealt a seed, for faster games you can choose to have it already planted on your side of the grove.

Example first turn:
After each side has planted its first seed. (Again. You can choose to play that it is planted for an easier run or force each player to plant it) This shows getting mana by using the "Commune with Nature" action (select a source, roll the die if odd get 3 if even get 2) In this case it is an even number so you collect 2 bits of mana. This leaves 2 more actions this turn, since you want to plant seeds we choose "Harvest" to collect a seed. Then "Plant Seed" as this turns final action. By using the mana collected earlier and the bonus from the planted tree from your side, you meet the requirements and one step closer to your goal.

Scrolls work much the same as seeds, except instead of planting them you cast them to perform different skills such as, steal seeds or plant them with out using actions, remove opponents trees, or protect your own. Below are a few examples

Fun side fact as a variation of play. THe game is modular, allowing for more players as teams or individual sets with personal Groves racing to be first with 6 Trees planted.
