Are you awake? They're days away from releasing Panacea, and once in the wild, they’ll have all the tools to enforce compliance to their New World Order. You're our only hope.
Starting from your Access Point to the Net, you draw Network Tiles proportional to your cyberdeck's speed, build the network map to a series of Corporate Server Farms, and hopefully locate the Secure Vault where Panacea’s source code is located. Balancing resources such as Time, Credits, Noise, and how much gray matter is left in your skull, your goal is to successfully find the Vault and jack out. With luck, you’ll have saved what’s left of freedom in this world.
The Simuhackrum is also adaptable for tabletop role playing games (RPGs). Although the hacker works alone, let’s not play solitaire with the Game Master (GM) while the rest of the table goes for snacks. Hacking should not be dice rolls against a spreadsheet.
The Simuhackrum lets Hackers develop the Net structure on the same battlefield with your crew. Using convenient one inch tiles, the party can see how well the Hacker is progressing even as they hold off corporate security. Built for GMs, there is enough flexibility in the components for all the popular sci-fi RPGs containing hacking mechanics.
