Sky Castles
Your very own castle in the clouds
Requirements
Description
Unbeknownst to most people stuck on the ground, sprites are tiny, good-natured beings who live in beautiful castles in the sky. They enjoy their days free from traffic jams and computer crashes, instead playing games and collecting the sparkling gems that form in the clouds.
Sky Castles is a fun tile-placement game for 2-4 players, designed by David Bradshaw. You place tiles to create a cloud-scape and then use your sprites to try to collect the most gems.
The game is suitable for young children and teaches spacial skills (select and place tiles so the borders match), simple maths (scoring with different color tokens worth different amounts), and planning / thinking ahead.
Children love the whimsical theme, the colorful tiles, and the lovely gemstones. Adults find that this game opens up avenues to use strategy and forward planning, so this really is a great game for the whole family.
