Slippery Fins puts you in the flippers of four penguin heroes sent to delve into the dangerous, twisting ice caves in order to save their waddle's eggs! After an earthquake causes them to roll, roll, roll deep down into the ice, its your turn to use all of the penguin tools in your penguin pockets to make sure that you get to be the one to bring them back to the waddle.
Slippery Fins is a simple but strategic deck-building game that emphasizes cunning and adventure while building out its labyrinthian icy maps. Like almost no other game out there, Slippery Fins' map tiles are irregular and encourage twisting, turning, and overlapping as you build out your deck through exploration, and gather those precious eggs.
Each of the four hero's have specialized mechanics worthy of saving all the eggs. Torpedo slides through the caves with amazing speed and determination while the Iceberg is slow and steady protecting what they have. It's all fun and games with the Empress who is not afraid to through a snow ball or two. None would hit the Orca-le though because they always see it coming.
Slippery Fins was designed with new players in mind. Everything from the numerous guide cards to the indepth iconography was made to make things simple and enjoyable. It may look like a lot at first glance but once the exploring begins you'll never stop rescuing eggs.
The biggest thanks to Storey Campbell and all the people who helped me revise and refine my game through so many play tests, critiques, and voice calls!
