Soccer Math Champions is a sports based, math game that kids love to play. The math games have been tested in the classroom for the past five years. Kids learn math without even knowing it. They are motivated to improve their math skills in order to win! Math can be exciting. Learn it in an all new and exciting way. Three teams of two play baseball in a round robin format. While two teams compete, the third team acts as referees. Select your math model and math problem (from basic math through algebra). The teams roll dice to determine ball possession. The winner rolls the dice and attempts to shout out the answer first. If they win, they can pass the ball and after winning the shout out twice, can shoot on goal. If they lose the shout out, the opposing team steals the ball and possession changes. After the second pass, the team may choose to shoot on goal or pass again for a better shot. When taking a shot, the team rolls the dice and looks at the outcome chart for results. Teams agree on a time limit for each game. The team winner challenges and plays the referees and the losers become the referees. Visit our website at: www.gotsciencegotmath.com for more information, games and cool lesson plans.
