Space HEX

Space HEX is a clever, puzzly, roll and write game with multiple types of dice mitigation.

Your Space Array is deteriorating. You need to make repairs, since it supplies needed power to the planet below.

Use the rolls of the dice to move to an open cell and make a repair, but each repair blocks a potential future path. You are trying to best make repairs (fill in values in groupings) to create the most power (score the most points).

Power is generated (points are earned) by creating clusters of like repairs (values), e.g. exactly six 6s in a grouping, or exactly four 4s in a grouping. Bonus points are earned by completing lines of values along the spokes of the array or along the edges of the array. Make these line repairs before the other players for even more points!

There is a great balance between the tactical, competitive nature of Space HEX for the edges and spokes, and the strategic, solitare nature to the game for the clusters.

Rocket Bonuses (a good thing!) can be earned through thoughtful play. The custom dice can cause Meteor Showers (a bad thing!), but which affect everyone equally. Both Rocket Bonuses and Meteor Showers add to the excitement of Space HEX.
