A collaboration between the minds behind Affection Game and Spindlewheel, the Romance Deck is a love letter from game designers looking to play with the romantic tropes of fanfiction, Bollywood, queer love, polyamory, and personal experience.
54 fully custom oracle cards explore everything from first dates to locked doors, roommates and fake-dating, mehndi and silver bands, intricate rituals and emotional diagnostics, and even jealousy and compersion.
Included with the deck is a zine of four companion games to play:
- Write the correspondence you've been dreaming of with Oracle de Bergerac as your mechanical companion;
- Pick up the rhythm of On The Floor to dance with up to four partners through a romantic tale;
- Operate the Love Machine of three hearts working through how they fit together;
- Or get into the really tasty convoluted engineering in Red String Tailors as you conspire to get two romantic candidates to their Happily Ever After (or trainwreck trying!)
