SETUP

You and your friends decide on a recipe to cook.

Split the ingredients into multiple even shopping lists. For example, if you need 1 tomato for each person, put 1 tomato on each shopping list.

You all go to the grocery store together.

GAMEPLAY

• Move only in straight lines down an aisle and don't look behind you.

• When you reach an intersection, choose a new direction then proceed until you reach another intersection.

• You may stop at any point to grab an item you need from a shelf.

• If you get close to another player, you may request an item from them. If they have it, they must give it to you, then you must move in seperate directions.

• First player to checkout line with all of their ingredients wins!

• You lose if you upset other customers or store staff

How does this game push dimensional envelopes of board games?

• Spatially: it occurs off the board and in a public setting!

• Socially: Blending in as regular shoppers is part of the game. If you run around frantically, you might upset other customers or get kicked out

• Temporally: Gameplay occurs in real-time. It's a race!

• Variability: The objectives you play for are decided by your group. You can play Stealth Shoppers for a regular dish you all enjoy and develop a metagame strategy of how to move in the grocery store.. or try new dishes to require fresh adaption!
