Story Circle

Get together with your friends and tell a story about a geography teacher who goes on an adventure to space to save the past from dragons ...or maybe about the time your buddy Brian made the perfect sandwich despite interference from an evil robot.

Story Circle is a storytelling game where players are encouraged to open the floodgates of imagination and work together to create a fun (and often silly) story.

At the start of the game, each player receives 5 cards and the first player to think of how the start the story does so. On their turn, each player chooses a card from their hand and uses that card as inspiration to improve the story and advance the plot. Players can be as literal or interpretative as they want.

Once the player has played their card and added a few sentences to the story, they say the number in the bottom corner of the card. The player on their left continues counting down until a player says “Zero”. That player picks the story up where it was left off. Play continues until a player uses the last card in their hand to wrap up the story. There is no single winner or loser – telling a fun story is its own reward!

(Remember, saying "Yes, and..." will make a better story than saying "No, but...")
