A linear, zombie apocalyptic board game where you and your friends race for survival!
SURVIVE is a linear game in which you and your friends race through a zombie-infested neighborhood in search of the helipad. The twist? There's only room for 1 more on this flight. Along the way you'll find a slew of weapons, gear, and other actions that can help and hurt both you and your crew. It is up to you to figure out the odds and determine your best chance to SURVIVE.
Here's how it works:
Each survivor begins with 50 health and will take turns moving across the map. You will encounter various spaces (most of which are zombies) that will require you to roll a colored dice. Some will restore health, but many will damage health.
But relying on luck alone would be unfair! Not only can you find weapons to help prevent damage, but after the first turn you have the option of moving forward OR drawing a "Resistance" card. These cards have numerous effects, and are all beneficial to you in some way. Keep in mind that drawing a card forfeits your movement, and gives other survivors the chance to get ahead. This constant struggle of risk vs. reward is what sets the tone and realism for the post-apocalyptic world of SURVIVE.
Perhaps skill and luck aren't your best friends... what happens if your health reaches 0 before the helipad? You become a ZOMBIE. And although you can no longer win the game, you can attempt to make other survivors LOSE. We've all had that feeling of wanting to bring down the lead player and now you can; while eating their brains out of revenge. This game mechanic creates two possible outcomes: one survivor wins by reaching the helipad alive, or all survivors lose by converting to zombies!
Work with other players, be cunning, deceitful, and merciless in your race to the helipad.

SURVIVE started out as a classroom project for me, but quickly became a labor of love. Which was weird because I'm terrified of zombies. Many days and nights were spent developing this game on my own, and it ended up becoming something I could be truly proud of. In any case, thank you for taking the time to check out this page and I hope you enjoy the game.

I've also opened a site idea for different colored, numeral D6 to try and get a green one in the set (just like the one pictured in the booklet!). If you'd like to see this happen or would like different colored, numeral D6 for your game, visit it here:

Update Ver.1.1 on 11/29/2014 for: Clarity
"Tripwire" card now reads: "Place this card next to the space you occupy. The next Survivor to reach it must stop on, and take the action of that space. This card then returns to the bottom of the deck."
