Description
"Boss..."
Sounds nice, right? Buy the right friends and that could be you.
Bet, bribe, and bully your way into the Mayor's office of New York City in this nineteenth-century themed auction strategy game. Will you cozy up to robber barons or cut deals with the mob? Whatever you do, make sure you keep the "voters" on your side.
---
The game revolves around auctions for Cronies. Each player bids in a blind auction for three general types of Cronies.
1. Unions - Large blocks of working people who vote. The key to winning the game. 2. Businesses - Crony capitalists who provide funds to win more auctions. 3. Mobsters - Thugs to steal and bully when money and votes aren't enough.
When players have enough of a particular type of Crony, they can play Action cards to further their chances in the elections by making extra income, earning extra votes, or spoiling other players' plan.
The game is up and the election is won when a player ends a turn with the right number of votes (varies by number of players - see free downloadable rules).
