Unique Gameplay

Sicilian Tarot is one of the unique Italian tarot games. As an Italian game it features gameplay reflecting older tarot games, going back to the its invention in the Italian peninsula.

Unique Design

Sicilian Tarot includes a number of interesting design features that set it apart from other surviving Italian tarot decks. Rather than using Italian smooth clubs and curved swords the Sicilian tarot uses the Spanish-style knobby clubs and straight swords. The Tarocco Siciliano also preserves the Portuguese tradition of having female knaves.

There are also many unique features in the trump cards as well. For example, the Popess and Pope have been replaced with more virtues, the Devil has been replaced by the Ship, and the addition of the Miseria card.
