Are you a student of the Japanese way of Tea?
Learning the words of the trade is the first step in any learning process. This is even more true for the way of Tea, where all the words your teacher uses to describe the equipment are Japanese.
This set of study cards comes with the Japanese word on one side, and a corresponding photo and English description on the other. This gives you the freedom to decide for each study session whether you want to start with the Japanese word and guess the English meaning, or vice versa. By varying which side you use, the words will feel more natural to use sooner.
How to use the study cards
The studycards can be used to learn the Tea vocabulary between Tea lessons, making it easier to get the most out of your Tea practice faster. The cards are lightweight, and you can easily bring them with you wherever you go. Do you have some downtime on the bus? Take out your studycards and use the commute to improve your Tea vocabulary.
The cards have been grouped into three groups. A beginning student should start by learning group 1, then proceed to group 2 and finally to group 3.
The cards are tailored to Urasenke students, but should work for most schools of Tea.
If you are not a Japanese Tea practitioner, this is not for you
This is not a game! Temae Cards – Vocabulary does not come with any kind of gameplay. Unless you are a student of Tea and attending regular classes, this will probably not be for you.
