The Florida Routes

THE FLORIDA ROUTES are lucrative - and competitive!

For decades, the Atlantic Coast Line (ACL) and Seaboard Air Line (SAL) railroads boasted top-flight service for passengers traveling to and from Florida and hauled citrus fruit and other lucrative freight. Competition was fierce, but by the late 1950s both companies determined that partnership instead of rivalry was the best course of action, and by 1967 they had merged into the Seaboard Coast Line, now part of CSX Transportation.

In THE FLORIDA ROUTES, a two-player card game, players try to score points by winning tricks on behalf of the ACL and SAL based on the cards dealt, some inside information, and maybe an assist from cards representing the Southern Railway – itself a rival company.

THE FLORIDA ROUTES uses two-sided cards that present the challenge of backing the right company at the right time in a race to reach the winning score.

THE FLORIDA ROUTES is part of the FALLEN FLAGS series of railroad-themed games and is intended for players of ages 12 and up.
