Description

You are a prospector participating in The Great Pickaxe Swing. Trek across the landscape, mine the best ores and use them to make deals. Boost your score by fulfilling objectives. Let the best prospector win!

RULES OVERVIEW

These are simplified rules. See The Great Pickaxe Swing for full rules.

SETUP

  1. Make MAP of as many maptiles as there are players.

  2. Shuffle and deal deals to offices.

  3. Put public objectives, crystals and some mines into the common area.

  4. Players take their mines, prospector and home tile.

PLAYING

The game is played in rounds. In a round each player takes his/her turn of 3 actions. The possible actions are:

  1. MOVE: Move your prospector to an adjacent hex upto two times. Crossing a river or leaving MAP is not allowed.

  2. MINE: Place your mine token on top of an ore in the hex with your prospector. If there is a river, then the ore and your prospector must be on the same side.

  3. MAKE DEALS: When your prospector is at an office and you have the required ores, then you can take as many deals from the office as you like.

WINNING

The game end is triggered when a player places his/her 12th mine to MAP.

Player's score is Deals + Fulfilled Objectives - Remaining Mines. The highest score wins.

Notes

  • This game contains a premium upgrade called UV Coating that makes the printed components more durable.
  • This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
