Description

The Great War is a 2-7 player strategy game where you command the land sea and air forces of either the Allies or the Central powers.

The game is set during the early years of WW1 and is centered on Europe where most of the combat took place. The central powers can make quick early gains, but the allies have a greater overall manpower advantage which could turn the tide if they have enough time to mobilise.

On your turn you move your armies across the map to attack or defend key areas and then mobilise new units in your cities factories and ship yards. The Game does not rely on luck and the outcome is 100% dependent on your skill as a commander, combat between armies is resolved in stages with damage from longer range or stealthy weapons like planes, artillery and submarines being resolved first before damage from soldiers and tanks.

The game ends when the central powers or allies have captured a set number of cities.

Notes

  • This game contains a premium upgrade called UV Coating that makes the printed components more durable.
  • This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
