Halloween is in the air, so gather your candy and costumes and get ready to battle an evil ghost
Welcome to the town of Halloween Hollow.
As you might imagine, all the residents are ardent fans of the darkly wondrous holiday, and used to go all out in celebrating it every October.
That is, until fifteen years ago.
On that long-ago Halloween night, a man named Jeremiah Chester appeared to snap, and brutally murdered Edgar and Eleanor Hunter, a beloved couple whose families had lived in Halloween Hollow for generations. After Jeremiah’s capture, he expressed bitter remorse for the crime, and claimed he had been possessed by the evil spirit of a hellfire-and-brimstone preacher named Phineas Frederick, who was attempting to wipe the “ungodly” population of the spooky-loving town off the map.
Once in police custody, Chester seemed to become possessed once again, and the purported evil spirit he housed told those gathered that if the town ever celebrated Halloween again, he would return and murder as many of the residents as possible. In spite of Chester’s “possession,” he was convicted and sent to a mental hospital.
The threat made by Jeremiah (or the evil spirit) was taken seriously, though, and the denizens of Halloween Hollow put away their jack o’lanterns and candy bowls for good.
But the six daughters of the murdered Hunters weren’t willing to be bullied by some spectral buzzkill, and once they were old enough, they rallied the town into bringing back the Halloween celebrations. Candy, costume, pumpkin, and decoration vendors sprung up to meet the demand, and citizens began to get excited for the first happy Halloween in more than a decade.
But it turns out that Phineas Frederick hasn’t finished with the town just yet.
