Roll, color, and jingle all the way as you enter the ultimate not-so-neighborly battle for Christmas glory! It’s just 12 jingle-bell-rockin' days till Christmas Eve in the City, and you've been thrust into the spotlight of the most epic slightly chaotic Christmas Lights Competition your neighborhood has ever seen! Will you keep it fair and honest, or opt for cheeky tricks like "borrowing" your neighbor's lights or loosening a bulb to send them scrambling? Let the holiday hustler ho-ho-hold the victory!
How to Win: You will have 12 days before the judges cast their vote for the best house. Your neighbors will judge you on Placement and Color, & Decor is judged on a point system. If you are over the wattage amount your power boxes collectively can hold, you blow the entire fuse and you are disqualified!
Whoever has the most points at the end of 12 days, and DOESN'T BLOW THEIR FUSE, wins the most epic Christmas Lights Competition your Neighborhood has ever seen!
1 minute to learn. No set up. Even learn while you play! Choose who will be the narrator to cross off what day it is after each round. Each person chooses a house. Person whose house is on top of hill, goes first. Play continues down hill. Each person picks a house, and writes their name in the field.
Choose between 4 options before you roll:
Then, check out the tables to see what happens!
After 12 days - Christmas has arrived, and it’s time to vote for the best house in placement and color! Turn on your holiday lights first: Everyone must be under or at your level of total power box holiday watts. If not - the fuse is blown, and you take an automatic 0 on the color category.
Each person now separately votes for Placement and Color - write down how many points each person gets in box below their house, with a comma after. (you can’t vote for your own - nice try).
1st place Ribbons = 50 2nd place Ribbons = 40 3rd place Ribbons = 30
Decor Points: Count up how many points you get with your Colored Decor.
Light Strand - 5 points
Gift Box, Star, Snowman, Wreath, and Christmas Tree - 10 points
Vintage Santa - 20 points
Add up all your points in your box and whoever has the most points, wins the Neighborhood Christmas Lights Competition!
In a small print and play, where really is the fun? The magic is in the heart of what decisions you make at the beginning of each turn. Do you choose to play it fair? Focus on shenanigans with the neighbors? What tactics will you use to win?
Once you roll and your fate is sealed, how will you choose to focus on placement and color to win the judges over?
