The Next King

The king is dead.

A kingdom cannot survive without a monarch. You both are now vying for the throne, with the aid of your most trusted Advisors. Your courtiers are already firmly ingrained in the ins and outs of court. Your knights offer the strength of the military. Your bishops promise a righteous, spiritual reign. Who will be the next king?

The Next King is a game of luck, strategy, and psychology. Know your opponent, and you will go far, but be warned, the people are harsh critics. Your claim to the throne is only as strong as your weakest attribute.

Utilizing the simple mechanic of rock-paper-scissors, players need to out-think their opponent. Take the obvious route, and you could earn many rewards, or you could get burned.

GAMEPLAY SUMMARY

You and your opponent take turns secretly assigning your Advisors to several Offerings. Reveal Advisors to see who wins the Offering. If a player wins an Offering, and their Advisor matches that Offering, they also earn a Reward. If there is a tie, the Offering stays to the next round. Once all the Offerings have been dealt, players tally up their three scores. Players then compare their lowest scores with each other. Whoever has the higher of these is the winner.
