Description
An authentic reproduction of the original "Game of Hope", dating from 1799 or earlier, housed in the British Museum and visited by ourselves in research for our book on the subject of Lenormand..
This deck is the prototype of all Petit Lenormand decks and the earliest original set known.
Professionally photographed and licensed from the Trustees of the British Museum in this third limited edition of 250 copies.
Available through Tarot Professionals, this deck has been respectfully re-cast by award-winning artist Ciro Marchetti, correcting slight deformations in the hand-cutting of the cards and bending due to age.
The deck is provided with the first English translation of the original game instructions, provided by Steph Myriel Es-Tragon.
For more information on using this deck for divination, join the Tarot Association at www.tarotassociation.net which includes magazines, and video courses on Tarot, the Thoth deck & the Lenormand.
We also recommend our own book "Learning Lenormand" by Marcus Katz & Tali Goodwin, published by Llewellyn.
** The Original Lenormand deck comes with an extra Gentleman and Lady card for optional use in same-sex relationship readings. The deck is provided as 38 cards with no box - we recommend joining our Facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/tarotprofessionals where you can purchase a range of hand-crafted bags and boxes from members.
