The time has come for the Rebels to strike at the Imperial shipping lanes. A heavily cloaked Raider moves into the area, striking at the cargo ships and bases to deal a crippling blow. But there are three Imperial Patrol ships in the area, and as the first cargo ship explodes they race into action, hunting down the Raider. Will the Raider manage to cripple the shipping in this sector, or will the Patrol ships manage to stop him?
Each player takes a turn, first the Raider moving to a new location and possibly destroying a ship or base. Then the Patrol ships will move to try and capture him, or at least prevent him from attacking any new targets. The game plays over a maximum of 12 rounds, so the Raider is under a time crunch to destroy 8 targets. If the Patrol ships can prevent the Raider from destroying 8 targets before the time runs out, or captures the Raider, they win.
There are 6 different Patrol ships, and the Patrol player selects 3 at random (or chooses). Each Patrol ship has different characteristics, such as the Fast Frigate (moves farther than the others) and the Probe Carrier (can launch probes to any part of the map).
The Raider gets a number of Fuel Boosts, which they can use for either jumping through a wormhole to any other wormhole, or to get an extra move on any turn. The Boosts are limited in number, and each is a one time use, so use with care.
And you think you know the map, but each time the Raider destroys a target, that location is no longer usable to either side, so the map slowly becomes more constricted. And when the Raider uses a wormhole, it collapses behind them preventing either side from using it further.
