The Turtle and the Hare

In the forest, winter is fast approaching. Six different animals with six different styles attempt to gather the last bit of food to survive the long winter. The quick Hare races to collect food, while the cautious Squirrel stores away for winters to come. The long-lived Turtle hangs on, while the Crow and the Fox cheat their way to survival. Lastly, the mighty Bear, king of the forest, keeps an eye on all the creatures. Steal, scare, and outplay your opponent in order to be the last animal standing.


In The Turtle and the Hare, players use a deck of numbered cards to unlock food tokens. Each card played is added to any previously played cards until the number on a food token is reached. Then that player earns a piece of food. But not so fast, each animal has special powers that are attached to different numbers. i.e. The Fox can steal from the Crow if he plays a 6, while The Hare can play again if he plays a 2. Each round players play as different animals attempting to best the other!

After each player has been every animal once, the food points are added up and the ultimate survivor is named!
