Description

OBJECT OF THE GAME:
You want to become the village's Master Builder. You must show the village how good you really are. But in order to do that you must use your workers to build as many, and the best buildings as you can for the village. Your buildings will be rated on: 1) if they are complete, and 2) how big and better you can make them.

SETUP:
• Set the 7 Job Cards out in the center of the table, in any configuration you want, but put them in numerical order. The number is located on the bottom center of each card (1-7).
• Shuffle each deck (Ground, Upper Floors and Roof) and place alongside the Job Cards.
• Leave room for discards piles for each deck.
• Give each player tokens of the same color; the number is determined by number of players:
o 2 players - 6 tokens
o 3 players - 5 tokens
o 4 players - 4 tokens
• Deal out 2 cards from each of the 3 decks to each player.
• Determine who will be the start player, (e.g. who was the last person the build something with wood) and give that player the 1st Player Token.

GAME PLAY:
• Game play is done in rounds (see below), always starting with the first player. Then play will proceed clockwise from the first player.
• You can only have a maximum of 5 cards in your hand, at the end of each round.
• Your buildings are constructed by playing building block cards (e.g. Ground Floor, Upper Floor and Roof Cards) on the table in front of you.
• You must start each building with a Ground Floor Card (it has a door), and then build off of that card either on top or off to the side. Any number of buildings can be started throughout the game.
• Only a completed building, one with a complete roof, will score at the end of the game. NOTE: And once you have placed the one or final roof on your building, nothing else can be added to that building.
• Play an Upper Floor Card (which can be used as a Ground Floor Card) or another Ground Floor Card next to already played Ground Floor Card to make a bigger first floor. Upper Floor cards can be played on top of either. Bear in mind that a building that is two, or even three cards wide, will require two (or three) Roof Cards to complete it. The levels can be uneven - one side 3 floors high and the other only 2 floors high.
• Balcony and Patio Cards must be played on the correct side, on the correct level, and not upside down. The Gate and full Fence Cards may be place on any ground level side.
• No card can be played over, or covering, another card.
• The game ends when one of the three decks runs out - all other cards are discarded from the game. Play continues until no one can build onto and/or complete any buildings with the cards that they have remaining.
