Theory 12 can support two to four players and is a classic mystery game of whodunit. Sleuth around to gather clues of locations, weapons and suspects of the mystery. Then start connecting the dots to create a theory. But be warned, as the suspect may be in the party sabotaging the investigation.
4 case files are included in this set. Future case files that will be released as add-ons.
Gather clues and interview notes on your notepad to piece the mystery together. Then create a final theory about the mystery and determine the main three objectives: The location, the weapon and the suspect.
You win the game when all 3 objectives are correct. If incorrect, you are out of the game.
The SetUp
• Select your case file and take out the cards without viewing the contents.
• Leave the Cased Solved card inside the envelope.
• Place the 12 clue cards face down in order.
• Players select profile cards at random. (Place extra profile cards back in the envelope)
• Read the introduction card to get started.
Gameplay
A player has 3 options on their turn:
• Roll a die to reveal a clue
• Interview a possible suspect
• Make a final theory to try to win the game
The twist in Theory 12 is the suspect has a possibility to be among the group (2-3 players) and will definitely be among the group with 4 players. The player will be aware they are the suspect and have different rule sets of winning the game.
The suspect will instead sabotage the investigation. (The suspect is the only one allowed in the game to lie, while non-suspect players cannot.
This player only wins when the rest of the players have venture wrong theories.
