Treasure Cove

1610: Notorious Pirate Captain Henry Douglas discovered, half buried, an old fiddle whose music had the power to command all the creatures in the sea - including the mighty kraken. He played the instrument and summoned the monster to destroy his adversaries vessels, and amassed a fortune in plundered gold and jewels. The wanted pirate, nearing capture, hid the fiddle on the island from which it came, along with his stolen treasure. A map was drawn, but the Captain was caught by his enemies before he could return. Sailing back to port to face judgment, the ship was swallowed by the kraken and the Captain was never seen again.

100 Years Later: Sailing around the waters of Haven Harbor has become treacherous. The story of Captain Douglas, his magic fiddle, and the mighty kraken has become legend. A legend you know first hand to be true. As a young buccaneer you had encountered the kraken, who destroyed your ship and killed many of your crew. You have made a vow to find Captain Douglas’s treasure and destroy the monster who now commands the sea.

Players will choose a Captain and a ship and move along a randomly created board trying to locate 3 pieces of a treasure map from 3 factions, the Cannibals, the Black Fangs, and the King's Army. Moving your ship requires you to place two Exploration cards beside your compass and resolve one. Exploration cards may contain enemy ships, storms, clear skies, or even the dreaded Kraken! Battle occurs by deciding how many shots from your cannon you'd like to fire and flipping over multi use cards to see how much damage you've dealt. Once the 3 pieces of the treasure map have been secured, you must sail to Treasure Cove, get the Magic Fiddle, kill the Kraken and win the game!
