An average economy gives women only 75% of rights men enjoy. In some countries, women only get half of these rights.
Because we know you are the main fuelers of change, we translated some of the barriers women face into a print-and-play marketplace game that you can play with friends, family, colleagues and classmates.

With Unequalopolis, you play in a mini economy where you buy, sell and trade properties, but rules are different if you play as a man or as a woman.
Differences in rules are based in real-life laws, regulations and social norms that still exist in several countries across the world and are backed by sources that you can consult in the game cards.
As you can imagine, playing as a woman can be a very frustrating experience, but the Empowerment cards are there to highlight progress made towards gender equality in several countries, and to help the women of the game to overcome some of the barriers they experience.
Men also experience disadvantages coming from gender inequalities. For example, men are more likely to land in the prison case of the board because men in real life are more likely to receive prison sentences than women.
