Description
Unified Front is a cooperative game about promoting peace in a war-torn world. You play activists, diplomats, and other peace workers, and travel the world defusing hostilities.
Board games explore many different themes - war, politics, economics, train companies, electric grids, space traders. However, a theme that has not been used in many games is that of peace. Unified Front is an effort to remedy this. Educators can use it to teach about peace, youth groups can use it to start discussions, gaming groups can play it for fun. We hope that you enjoy our effort.
Unified Front uses an action point mechanic, allowing for strategic planning and critical thinking. There are few elements of randomness, but just enough to make every game experience different. Up to six can play at any time. The game is fully co-operative, and can teach valuable teamwork skills.
Unified Front was developed by youth attending Reedwood Friends Church, and funded by the Northwest Yearly Meeting's Youth and Young Adults Promoting Peace grant.
This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
