Vintage Vinyl is an economic, action selection, and set collection game for 2-5 players. Build up and sell parts of your collection to gain the most victory points for having the best collection records.
You will take 2 actions on your turn to bolster your collection of records. You may purchase records from the store, or purchase another player’s record they have made available for sale. You can auction off 1 of your own records, or purchase a record as an investment hoping to sell it later for more profit. Play a gig to earn more cash, or free your mind and discover a new musical interest to earn more victory points (VP). The player with the best collection (most VP) at the end of the game wins.
The player with the largest collection of vinyl records takes the first turn, then play proceeds clockwise. Increase all of your investments by $1 by placing a $1 token on it. Then you may take up to 2 different actions on your turn from the following:
Buy 1 record from the shop, place it in front of you face up, and place two $1 tokens from the bank on it to show its increased value. It will be available for other players to purchase on their turn.
Buy 1 investment from another player at the current price. The current price is the shop cost shown on the white tag plus the money on the record.
Take 1 interest card from the pool of 3 and refill the pool with a card from the deck. You will earn VP for each interest card you have at the end of the game.
You may auction off 1 of the records from your hand. You set the minimum bid for any amount you choose. The player on your left can make the 1st bid or pass. Bids must start at the minimum and then increase by at least $1. You may not bid. If no one bids you keep your record, otherwise the highest bidder wins and you receive the money.
You may purchase up to 2 records from the shop. Pay the sticker price on each record and put them in your hand. Refill the shop from the deck.
