Description
Inspired by ancient dice-and-track games like Ur and Senet, and by the symbol of Fortune's Wheel, Volubilis is a game in which players use a combination of chance and choice to decide which civilizations advance and which do not.
But what rises may also fall again. Fortune's wheel does not cease to spin.
All the players move the same set of miniatures, and each miniature represents a civilization. As each one moves around the circle from simple to complex civilization, there is a chance that it will grow in population and be upgraded to the next miniature in the sequence.
But, the other side of the circle leads back to simple again, and each civilization might also lose its population and be downgraded.
A player scores points when he or she moves a miniature past the "Golden Age" and around the other side of the circle again. There are more points for a more populous civilization.
This game contains a premium upgrade called UV Coating that makes the printed components more durable.
This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
