Wild Island

The sun sets quickly in this part of the world; this foreign, frightening, untamed part of the world. The wilderness between the trees becomes an ever more foreboding void in the darkness, that creeps and crackles with movements unseen and unknown. They huddle together, tightly, because they once heard that "there is strength in numbers", but, the ominous loneliness grips every one of them, and they might as well be miles apart. The air about them grows thick and heavy with their anticipation of various dooms...an anticipation, not entirely unfounded...
