Welcome to a wintry wonderland, where the Snow Queen reigns! It is Winter Solstice and the fairies are busy decorating trees, gnomes are mining for crystals beneath the moonlight, snowmen are gathering snowflakes, and Father Winter is delivering gifts! But watch out for Jack Frost who could block your path with a snowstorm, for the hibernating bear who could put you to sleep, or for the owl who may swoop down and steal your stash!
The purpose of the game is to collect as many points as you can by pairing up the cards that go together while blocking your opponents from scoring points.
For example: The Fairy decorates Trees (worth 10 pts. each) Father Winter delivers Presents (worth 5, 10 or 15 pts. each) The Snowman gathers Snowflakes (worth 5 or 10 pts. each) The Gnome mines Crystals beneath the Moon (worth 15 pts. each) The Snow Queen is worth 15 pts.
Point cards are placed in piles before each player.
Players have the option of blocking another player's points: Jack Frost brings a snowstorm blocking the Fairies from decorating Trees or Father Winter from delivering Presents. The Sun melts the Snowman and keeps the Gnome from mining for Crystals.
Winter Frost Power cards can also be played: The Snowy Owl swoops down and steals a player's pile of point cards. The Hibernating Bear puts to sleep another player's pile. The Sneaky Fox allows you to play two moves in one turn.
When all the cards are used up, all players count up their points (not counting the points that have been blocked.) The player with the most points wins!
