before you play: 1. Do you want to play as teams or individuals? 2.How big of a grid do you want to use to select your pictures? (The more choices, the longer it takes to choose. The more choices, the more opportunities for a match.) 3. How big of a personal grid will signal the end of the game? How to Play Word Wheedle: Place the picture cards in a grid. Only one side of the card will be used in a game. Therefore, be mindful that you use a variety of pictures in your grid. Do not choose only landscapes! Take turns rolling the 9 letter dice. Use the box lid as a container for the rolling action. You can roll 3 times per turn. If you use a letter, you do not roll that dice again. Your goal is to spell a word and find a picture that matches the word. For example, if you spell tree then you look for a picture card that has a tree and remove that card from the grid. Put the tree picture in your personal grid. Then place another card from the deck in the group grid space left after you removed the tree card. Players are building a personal grid. The grid is a predetermined size. It is possible to have a turn and not be able to spell a word that has a picture to go with it. You must have a word and a picture to score. Proper nouns are permitted. When a team or player creates a grid of the correct size, the game is over. The team or player with the most points is the winner. Points are awarded as follows: One point for each letter in your word. Three points for making a word. Three bonus points if you made a word after only one roll. Two bonus points if you use Q, Z, X, V, or J. Three bonus points for being the first to complete your personal grid.Component | Quantity | Photo |
