Description

** Kickstarter ended 6/29/13 WordSmith, The Card Game Thank you for all your support.

While the Kickstarter may have ended, you can still purchase a copy of WordSmith here at TheGameCrafter!

In WordSmith, players continuously smith together cards to build words and score points. The game will challenge your literary skills and test your reflexes. Smith off against your friends and family to see who's the best WordSmith.

WordSmith comes as a deck of 108 cards (including 1 instruction card) each labelled with two letters and a point value. Using a dictionary word frequency algorithm, we came up with letter combinations to form these cards. More common occurring letter combinations are worth fewer points and are bronze colored. High scoring cards are gold and much more difficult to make words with.

Because of the nature of the cards, WordSmith can be played with many kinds of rules and variants. From single player, to turn-based, to even half cards to unlock the full range of words. Play WordSmith the way you want to and whatever brings you the most joy.

The game is great for word building and family-game nights. It's a great vocabulary word building tool to teach English.
