XOR is a 2 player game of deduction set in cyber space for casual to serious players. It features logical deduction using binary choices that bring intense game play. Unlike Mastermind, this game is played head-to-head. Can you identify your opponents Hack first?
Each card has 6 words on it, with each word being one of two words of a specific pair. Example: the top word will always be either Hacker or Activist on each card.
Setup: Shuffle all cards. Deal each player 1 card face down; this is that player's "Hack". Deal each player 3 more cards to be used as Clues; which will be used to determine the 6 elements of the opponents Hack.
Game Play is a series of rounds, which each round consisting of several turns. On a turn: Player 1 shows a clue card, and player 2 tells the number of matches on the Clue card and their Hack card. Player 2 shows a clue card, and player 1 tells the number of matches on the Clue card and their Hack card. Both players make notes (you may want a pencil and some paper) on what they learned. Both players now declare that they are either guessing what their opponent has this turn, or passing this turn. If you guess right, you get 3 points. If you guess wrong you lose 1 point.
If both players have guessed correctly the round is over.
If only one player has guessed correctly, the other player has one more turn to play a Clue and make a final guess; this guess will score 2 points if correct, and no points lost if incorrect. The final round is then over.
Players should decide before starting how many rounds they want to play (3 recommended) and keep a total score for all rounds to determine the final winner.
