A simple Lenormand deck with a focus on words rather than images.
I made this deck after losing a few cards from one of my favorite decks. As a reader who doesn't rely on images to read, I wanted something word based so chose to have the title of the card as the main focus. As I wrote, little images appeared naturally and turned into a minimal yet delightful deck. Lenormand cards are known for having playing card pips on them (the hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds). Since playing cards can be read like the Minor Arcana of the Tarot I decided to change out the playing card pips for Tarot symbols (swords, cups, wands, and pentacles). For those who already know Tarot, this provides deeper meanings that can be stacked on top of Lenormands. The bottom left corners are adornded with each cards position in the Grand Tableau (a Lenormand spread that uses all 36 cards). This makes reading the Grand Tableau easier since it no longer has to be memorized. As an avid card reader, I always hated when my beautiful decks get the slightest wear and tear. The tea stained background provides this look already, so normal wear and tear simply add to its charm.
